Its small portable device that can fit into the palm of your hand when folded up. As such when unfold it will look as though a have small window of sorts when it fully powered you will be able to see a outline of possible destinations. Selecting the destination allows for the device to fully deploy. With special a button on the bottom you can make it as big as you want it to be. Then just place it up right and poof you have your own personal portal. When walking through it will appear on the other side too. You grab the top of the device then shake it and it will undeploy. In most other cases it reacts to your thoughts. Also has a built in harmonic shield that lets selected users through it and keeps baddies from following you. There is also harmonic lock feature on it as well allowing if on the right either use a code word or thought to call the device to you.
